Solar Project Manager for the Industrial Sector

💼 About the position:

Join us as a Solar Project Manager for the Industrial Sector to bring clean solar energy to Mexico! Work with our Operations Team, and play a critical role in achieving Bright’s goals by aligning the Operations team with the company's priorities. You'll be responsible for planning and organizing the installation of photovoltaic systems, collaborating with stakeholders, managing project timelines, and complying with the project CapEx. You will ensure high quality and meet client requirements and electrical standards while addressing challenges and ensuring safety compliance.

Your experience and skills:

  • Technical Expertise: You have at least 5 years of experience in electromechanical installations and 2+ years in project management.

  • Certifications: You have an  EC-0586.01 certification or equivalent; advanced knowledge of NOM-001-SEDE-2012/2018, NEC 690, PV Design, Electrical Design, and Project Management.

  • Analytical Skills: You´ve shown strong critical thinking and strategic decision-making abilities.

  • Communication: You have exceptional written and verbal skills, including fluency in English, with the ability to work effectively across teams at various seniority levels.

  • Negotiation: You exceed the ability to achieve optimal outcomes for all parties involved.

  • Organization: You are highly detail-oriented with a proven track record in managing complex projects.

  • Product Knowledge: You understand deeply the photovoltaic industry and its evolving technologies.

💻 Your tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • This involves overseeing the end-to-end management of industrial solar projects, ensuring seamless coordination between design, procurement, and installation teams, maintaining compliance with technical and safety standards, driving process improvements to optimize project timelines and costs, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders to deliver exceptional results and client satisfaction at every stage of the project.

    • Budget Evaluation: Manage preliminary quoting and evaluate installer quotes based on technical, cost, and time factors, meeting Service Level Agreements.

    • Operational Oversight: Coordinate on-site technical visits, scheduling, and deliverable validations within SLAs.

    • Construction and Design Audit: Ensure optimized design, construction, and procurement, adhering to technical, cost, and time constraints while meeting customer satisfaction guidelines.

    • Communication and Liaison: Deliver project evaluations, including quotes, to the Sales team for alignment.

    • Project Management: Oversee approved projects, from milestone kick-off to technical compliance during construction, ensuring effective stakeholder communication and timely deliverables.

🎯 Your Key Results will be:

At Bright we operate on the Objective Key Results System pioneered at Intel, and used widely by Google and many tech companies. For this specific role, your Key Results  (upon which your success will be measured) is:

  • Objective: Deliver seamless execution of industrial solar projects while maximizing financial returns and maintaining robust operational efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with Bright’s mission to drive sustainable energy solutions.

    • Key Result 1: Successfully installed 2.5 MWs of industrial solar projects (50% of 1.8 MWs Oct Goal + 1.6 MWs of 2024 YTD backlog) with an IRR > 22% during Q4.

    • Key Result 2: Maintain debt collection such that less than 50% of the remaining unpaid contract value in the 90–119 days bucket reaches 120+ days overdue by the end of each month.
