💼 About the position:

Join us as a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to bring clean solar energy to Mexico! Work with our Operations Team and play a critical role in achieving Bright's goals by aligning with the company's priorities. You'll ensure all Bright's installations comply with Mexican standards, review installation quality, and provide feedback to improve processes. You will collaborate with the installation teams and project managers to drive compliance, safety, and operational excellence.

🥇 Who you are:

  • You have between 1 to 3 years of experience in Energy Solar Photovoltaic.

  • You have experience and knowledge of the NOM-001-SEDE-2012, NEC.

  • You are comfortable speaking English and communicating concisely.

  • You have the following  skills:

    • Electrical installation experience (residential, commercial, and industrial):

      • You have extensive hands-on experience in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations. Your expertise ensures that projects are executed efficiently and comply with industry standards, providing safe and reliable electrical systems.

        • (i.e., In commercial settings, you’ve overseen the installation of complex lighting systems, power distribution networks, and emergency backup systems for offices and retail spaces).

    • Experience with design software such as Helioscope or AutoCAD:

      • You are proficient in using design software like Helioscope and AutoCAD, enabling you to create precise electrical layouts and system designs. This expertise supports the accurate planning and execution of photovoltaic projects, optimizing cost and performance.

        • (i.e., You use AutoCAD to produce precise electrical schematics, layout plans, and system diagrams, ensuring that all design elements are accurately represented and aligned with project specifications).

    • Experience and knowledge in NOM-001-SEDE-2012 regulations:

      • You have proven experience and expertise in NOM-001-SEDE-2012 regulations, ensuring compliance with the technical and regulatory requirements for meter bases in Mexico based on CFE and NOM standards. This knowledge allows you to guarantee that installations meet the necessary safety and operational criteria.

        • (i.e., You meticulously check that meter bases and electrical panels meet the specific requirements set forth by the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) and NOM standards, ensuring that all installations are both safe and legally compliant).

    • Experience in the development, implementation, and monitoring of UVIE projects in Mexico:

      • You have successfully led the development, implementation, and monitoring of Mexico's UVIE (Electrical Installation Verification Unit) projects. Your ability to oversee projects from conception to completion ensures regulatory compliance and efficiency.

        • (i.e., Your expertise in UVIE projects ensures that all electrical systems are compliant with local regulations, perform reliably, and are efficiently managed throughout their lifecycle).

💻 Your tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Ensuring that each installation aligns seamlessly with our high-quality standards, contributing to the company's commitment to sustainable energy.

    • (i.e., Conduct final inspections to ensure that installations meet both company standards and industry best practices, thus maintaining the company’s reputation for delivering reliable and high-quality solar energy solutions).

  • Reviewing and approving the start-up documentation for 100% of completed residential and commercial solar installations.

    • (i.e., Verify that all required permits, installation reports, and certification documents are accurately completed and submitted, ensuring that each project adheres to regulatory and company standards).

  • Innovating and implementing new tools to enhance solar installations' efficiency and precision.

    • (i.e., Develop and pilot new quality control methodologies, such as using drone technology for site inspections, to enhance precision and streamline the QA process).

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, making every project a step towards a greener future.

    • (i.e., Participate in cross-departmental meetings to ensure that the implementation of new technologies aligns with quality standards and contributes to overall project sustainability and performance).

  • Conducting training sessions for installation partners, emphasizing adherence to NOM regulations and internal quality standards.

    • (i.e., Provide hands-on training sessions to ensure that installation teams are fully equipped to meet both regulatory and company quality requirements).

  • Developing and maintain a certification program ensuring that partners are equipped to execute projects in various states, fostering a nationwide network of skilled professionals.

    • (i.e., Create a tiered certification system with different levels of expertise, and establish criteria for each level).

🎯 Your Key Results will be:

At Bright, we operate on the OKR system pioneered at Intel and used widely by Google and many tech companies. For this specific role, your Key Results  (upon which your success will be measured) is:

  • Objective: Deliverables in Service Level Agreement (commissioning and quality tests, invoices, single line diagrams, or on-site designs).

    • Key result1: 100% comms in SLA.

    • Key result: 100% tickets in SLA.

    • Key result3: 100% OT & Payouts in SLA.

    • Key result4: 100% installations in SLA.

  • Objective: Compliance with improvement projects per quarter.

    • Key result1: 100% of the project assigned in SLA.

  • Objective: Achieve 100% resolution rate for technical issues (tickets, photovoltaic system production, meter base rejections, UVIE projects)

    • Key result1: 100% of cases IX approved in SLA.

    • Key result2: 0 of cases with underproduction.
