💼 About the position:

Join us as a Strategic Finance Analyst to bring clean solar energy to Mexico! Work with our Strategic Finance Team and play a critical role in achieving Bright's goals while ensuring alignment between the team and the company's priorities. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with our numerous loan agreements, as a critical point of contact for our lender partners' reporting needs, and delivering a lender experience that upholds the Bright brand. You will collaborate with other teams across Bright (e.g., FP&A, Accounting, Data, and Ops) to ensure effective cross-team communication and deliver an excellent lender satisfaction experience.

🥇 Who you are:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • You have high proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (or its Google counterparts).

  • You have an excellent finance foundation - You can interpret financial statements and conclude/insights.

  • You are comfortable speaking English and communicating concisely.

  • You can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and you are willing to learn and adapt to new challenges.

  • You have the following skills:

    • Organization:

      • (i.e., You consistently organize your daily task list and prioritize the department's needs to ensure effective communication with various stakeholders (both internal and external). You have proven experience using Google tools (such as Calendar, Gmail, and Tasks, among others) to maximize productivity).

    • Results-oriented:

      • (i.e., You have experience organizing your time to meet deadlines and deliverables. Additionally, you proactively seek to ask questions and promptly research any uncertainties to ensure completion. You communicate effectively to align objectives and deliverables when unexpected situations arise).

    • Analytical Thinking:

      • (i.e., You demonstrate analytical solid thinking by calculating financial ratios selected by our lenders and thoroughly understanding their fluctuations and implications. For example, you ensure quarterly reporting of these ratios to maintain compliance while projecting future ratios to guarantee ongoing adherence to lender requirements).

    • Attention to detail:

      • (i.e., You demonstrate strong attention to detail by auditing databases, reports, and documents to identify errors and propose improvements. Additionally, you ensure data accuracy for reports, payments, or internal analysis. You also thoroughly review credit contracts and addenda with current and potential lenders to ensure all terms are accurately understood and met).


💻 Your tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Analyzing and optimizing capital structure and funding strategies to ensure long-term financial health. Assisting in developing economic models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.

    • (i.e., Develop a detailed capital restructuring plan by assessing the company's current debt-to-equity ratio and exploring different financing options, such as issuing new equity or restructuring existing debt).

  • Preparing documentation for project finance transactions, including data gathering, financial modeling, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with lender requirements and regulatory guidelines, including data collection, reporting, and documentation.

    • (i.e., Assemble a comprehensive financing proposal for a new construction project, which includes gathering financial data from internal sources, creating a detailed financial model to forecast cash flows and returns, and preparing documentation required by potential lenders).

  • We provide general support to the finance team, including administrative tasks, data entry, and ad hoc analysis.

    • (i.e., Support the finance team by organizing and maintaining financial records, entering transaction data into the financial system, and performing ad hoc analysis as needed).

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, lenders, investors, and regulators to gather information, support project execution, and foster positive relationships.

    • (i.e., Facilitate a project kickoff meeting involving cross-functional teams, investors, and regulators to ensure everyone is aligned on project objectives and compliance requirements).

  • Assisting in preparing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Contributing to improving reporting processes and playing a vital role in the annual strategic planning, including developing long-term financial plans.

    • (i.e., Prepare monthly financial reports that compare actual performance against the budget, identify variances, and provide explanations. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and long-term financial forecasts).

    • Objective: Stay compliant with our lenders and equity investors.

      • Key Result 1:  Achieve 100% compliance with reporting deadlines.

      • Key result 2: Improve reporting processes aiming to reduce reporting time by 20%.

    • Objective:  Monitor and Improve Administrative Processes for Enhanced Efficiency.

      • Key Result 1: Coordinate and execute 100% on-time administrative and legal procedures, payments, and requirements for the trusts.

      • Key Result 2: Streamline processes to improve efficiency and document all new procedures for consistency and future reference.

    • Objective: Support the department in identifying and securing new financing opportunities and new project underwriting.

      • Key Result 1: Assist the team in meeting due diligence requirements for potential lenders with 100% compliance and within specified deadlines.

      • Key Result 2: Assist in the credit underwriting by processing financial information provided by Sales Representatives and clients.
