💼 About the position:

Join us as a Freelancer On Demand Designer to bring clean solar energy to Mexico! Work with our Operations Team and play a critical role in achieving Bright’s goals by aligning the Operations team with the company's priorities. You'll be responsible for ensuring the best customer journey for customers in the approval phase by creating fast designs for all of our potential customers. You will collaborate with the Sales Team to drive the project's approval and the efficient installation to our clients.

🥇 Who you are:

• Technical skills: You have a bachelor's degree or are studying, preferably in engineering.

• Detail oriented: You identified potential obstacles such as shading from nearby structures and suboptimal panel orientation. You proposed adjustments to the panel layout and installation position to maximize energy production and system efficiency.

• Organization: You managed the documentation for a large photovoltaic project, including system designs, component specifications, and compliance reports. You ensured that all documents were organized, completed accurately, and delivered on schedule, meeting all project deadlines and service level agreements.

• Deadline and Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management: You can focus on deadlines and deliverables on the time needed (Service Level Agreement.

• Communication Skills: You coordinated with engineers, installers, and project managers to ensure that the photovoltaic system design was understood and implemented correctly. Your clear and effective communication helped resolve design issues quickly and ensured a smooth installation process.

• Spatial Perception Skills: You can identify with images the location where they were taken (to correctly position the obstacles and our system on the client’s roof.

• Nice to have:

  • 3D modeling and Photovoltaic software: You have experience with 3D modeling and Photovoltaic software like Helioscope, AutoCAD, Sketchup, SolidWorks or PVSYSTr.

💻 Your tasks and responsibilities will be:

• This involves creating photovoltaic system designs and engineering documentation that meet 100% compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and Bright’s quality standards. You will ensure all designs and documentation align with local regulations, optimize system performance, and address specific client needs.

  • Create photovoltaic system designs on demand, ensuring compliance with Bright’s quality standards and local regulations while optimizing performance and addressing client requirements.

  • Ensure 100% compliance with SLAs for design creation, delivering high-quality work within the agreed-upon timeframes.

  • Develop photovoltaic engineering documentation, including line diagrams and electrical sizing, ensuring adherence to Bright’s standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain 100% compliance with SLAs for engineering documentation creation, providing accurate and timely deliverables.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs and documentation align with project goals and performance expectations.

At Bright, we operate on the Objective Key Results System pioneered at Intel and used widely by Google and many tech companies. For this specific role, your Key Results  (upon which your success will be measured) is:

• Objective: Design Creation  within SLA

• Key Result: 100% Predesigns, redesigns, and post-approval designs created within the Service Level Agreements. 

• Objective: Engineering Documentation Creation  within SLA

• Key Result: 100% of line diagrams and electrical sizings created within the Service Level Agreements.

• Objective: Average monthly score of 9.5/10

  • Key Result: Keep a rejection ratio below 5% and an optimization rate below 15%
