💼 About the position:
Join us as a Procurement Sr. Analyst to bring clean solar energy to Mexico! You’ll work closely with our Procurement and Logistics (P&L) team and play a critical role in achieving Bright’s goals by aligning with the company’s priorities. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing cost-saving procurement strategies, optimizing supply chain operations, and managing vendor relationships to ensure on-time, high-quality deliveries. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance to streamline logistics and support Bright’s ambitious growth plans of doubling scale year over year. Success in this role requires strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and expertise in procurement and supply chain management in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
💻 Your Responsibilities:
As the Procurement Sr. Analyst, you will ensure the organization achieves cost efficiency and quality excellence by optimizing vendor relationships and procurement strategies. This role demands a results-driven professional with expertise in negotiation, process optimization, and performance analytics. Your responsibilities will be:
Recruiting and Onboarding Vendors: Identifying, evaluating, and onboarding vendors to meet operational needs, ensuring they deliver best-in-class costs and work quality.
Streamlining Vendor Management Processes: Maintaining an efficient recruitment process for contractors, continuously improving workflows to ensure simplicity and effectiveness.
Leading Procurement Negotiations and Tenders: Overseeing tender processes, negotiate vendor agreements, and validate quotes to align with project goals and cost objectives.
Enhancing Vendor Performance: Developing vendor scorecards to track performance, implement improvement plans, and foster accountability and continuous improvement.
Facilitating Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinating kick-off calls with engineering teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and seamless communication with vendors.

A Skilled Negotiator: You excel at building strategic vendor partnerships by securing favorable procurement terms, such as extending credit terms to 90+ days, negotiating credit lines over $1M, and achieving delivery times under 7 days. At Bright, we operate on the Objective Key Results System pioneered at Intel and used widely by Google and many tech companies. For this specific role, your Key Results (upon which your success will be measured) is:
Objective: Capture 30% market share in Mexico's industrial solar sector.
Key Result: 2.5 MWs installed from Industrial projects (50% of 1.8MWs Oct Goal + 1.6MWs of 2024 YTD backlog) with IRR (measured at commissioning) > 22% during Q4
Leading Indicators:
Time from projects’ Welcome Call to Commissioning < 70 days (0.25 days/kW)
14-day trailing of Ops industrial pre-approval deliverables approved within SLA =100%
