💼 About the position:
Join us as an Accounting Analyst to bring clean solar energy to Mexico! You will work with our Accounting Team and play a critical role in achieving Bright’s goals by aligning with the company's priorities. You will receive, organize, and deliver accounting information; audit invoices received and invoices issued; coordinate with lawyers' documentation of tax-accounting transactions; present tax declarations; and work alongside other teams to have auditable processes. You will collaborate with the Head of Accounting Team to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
🥇 Who you are:
You have at least 3 years of experience in accounting.
You are comfortable speaking English and communicating concisely
You have a Bachelor's degree in accounting.
Problem-solving
(i.e., Find innovative ways to implement changes in invoicing to customers, within financial lease, subscription etc.. while ensuring tax and accounting compliance
Communication Skills
(i.e. Clearly explaining new financial reporting standards to a marketing or sales team and how it affects their budgeting
Collaboration and Teamwork
(i.e. Collaborating with the different departments in challenging situations, when implementing new tax law changes, such as new invoicing rules
💻 Your tasks and responsibilities will be:
Accounting Technical Skills:
(I.e. You will collect and deliver monthly accounting information for Mexican entities, create invoices for intercompany operations, document accounting processes that involve collaboration with other areas of the company and assist with the monthly and year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy in reporting).
Audit and Attention to Detail Skills:
(I.e. you will audit invoices received and issued, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies, collect and organize evidence for internal and external audits and prepare and create accounting documentation required for audits, ensuring timely and accurate submissions).
Project Management Skills:
(I.e. You will coordinate with legal teams on the documentation of accounting transactions to ensure compliance and accuracy and manage ad-hoc projects related to financial reporting and process improvements).
Accounts Payable Management:
(I.e. You will manage "gastos por comprobar" (expenses to be verified), ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies, record and reconcile expenses in the accounting platform, ensuring timely and accurate data entry and assist in the management of supplier relationships and payments).

At Bright we operate on the OKR system pioneered at Intel and used widely by Google and many tech companies. For this specific role, your Key Results (upon which your success will be measured) is:
Objective: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, payment processing, and tax compliance to meet organizational goals and uphold Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Key Result1:: 100% of accounting monthly information and payment process (once per week) is delivered according to Service Level Agreements.
Key Result 2: 100% of accounting trial balances and month end closing tasks are delivered according to Service Level Agreements.
Key Result 3: 100% of tax compliance for the Bright entities
Key Result 4:: 100% of payments are made according to Service Level Agreements.
