Commercial Energy Expert (Sales Consultant)

💼 About the position:

Join us as a Commercial Energy Expert to bring clean solar energy to Mexico! Work with our Commercial Sales team and play a critical role in achieving Bright’s goals by aligning with the company's priorities. You'll be responsible for explaining to Business Owners and staff about energy generation, production, and efficiency and comparing our current model with the possibility of switching to solar. You will collaborate with the Operations Team and Customer Service Team to drive project efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction to ensure a smooth transition from sales visits to successful installations.

🥇 Who you are:

  • You have experience managing a sales team for more than 1 year. 

  • You have the ability to lead and motivate sales reps to achieve individual and team goals.

  • You have previous experience at providing current sales reports and being accountable for team metrics. 

  • You have experience analyzing sales performance metrics to identify areas of improvement.

  • You have the following  skills:

    • Negotiation.

      • (i.e., You will navigate the negotiation process to reach agreements that benefit both parties. For instance, you might negotiate terms with business partners to establish favorable contract conditions that align with both companies' objectives.)

    • Prospecting. 

      • (i.e., You will identify and target potential customers or leads by researching businesses that could benefit from the PDBT tariff, such as reaching out to companies in need of energy solutions and assessing their suitability as prospects.)

    • Closing. 

      • (i.e., You will close deals and secure sales by effectively presenting proposals, addressing any objections, and finalizing agreements to meet or exceed your sales quotas. This includes guiding prospects through the decision-making process and ensuring they sign contracts.)

    • Relationship building. 

      • (i.e., You will develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders by engaging in regular communication, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to support the success of their projects.)

    • Product knowledge. 

      • (i.e., You will gain a deep understanding of the features and benefits of our products, enabling you to effectively articulate their value to customers during sales discussions and highlight how they meet specific needs.)

    • Competitive analysis. 

      • (i.e., You will analyze competitors' offerings and market positioning to better position our products or services. This involves gathering information on competitor pricing, features, and market strategies to differentiate our solutions effectively.)

    • CRM Platforms. 

      • (i.e., You will use CRM software to manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate records throughout the customer lifecycle, ensuring that all relevant data is accessible and up-to-date.)

    • Conversion rate optimization. 

      • (i.e., You will work on optimizing the sales funnel to increase the percentage of prospects who become customers. This includes refining the process to reduce drop-offs at each stage and implementing strategies to improve overall conversion rates.)

💻 Your tasks and responsibilities will be:

    • Prospect potential commercial leads:

      • (i.e., You will proactively seek out potential commercial leads by researching businesses that could benefit from PDBT tariffs. Your goal will be to effectively communicate Bright's mission to provide clean and affordable energy, identifying and reaching out to companies that align with our sustainability goals.)

    • Perform Sales Visits with  commercial deals:

      • (i.e., You will conduct sales visits with potential clients, presenting the environmental and economic benefits of switching to solar energy. This involves engaging in detailed discussions to address customer concerns, showcase the advantages of our solutions, and drive the decision-making process.)

    • Approve commercial projects: 

      • (i.e., You will be responsible for analyzing, gathering, and submitting all necessary documentation for commercial projects. This includes ensuring that all required paperwork is accurately completed and entered into our database to facilitate underwriting and finalize the deal.)

    • Generating strategic solutions:

      • (i.e., You will focus on generating innovative and strategic solutions to enhance the company's offerings. This involves identifying opportunities for improvement, developing new approaches, and implementing changes that contribute to building a more effective and successful organization.)

🎯 Your Key Results will be:

  • At Bright we operate on the OKR system pioneered at Intel and used widely at Google and many tech companies. For this specific role, your Key Results  (upon which your success will be measured) is:

    • Total of Projects Approved:

      • OKR1: Approve  >4 monthly projects.

    • Conversion Rate from Sales Visits:

      • OKR2: Maintain an average conversion rate from Sales Visits to installed projects of 10%.

  • Salary range: $20,000  + Sales bonuses (About $44,000 MXN to $48, 000 MXN  gross salary for 100% of the quota.)
